STATE COAL-MINE STRIKE
PROSI-'ECT OF SETTLEMENT. (Fhom Our Own Cokrespondent.) GREYMOUTH, December 8. General satisfaction is expressed throughout the district, at -the prospect ot a speedy termination of the SUte mine strike. It is a foregone conclusion that the union will agree to the recommendation of the Miners' Federation, as there can be no disguising the fact that the great majority of the miners are heartily sick of the whole business.
