Stani.-las Dyktor has been acquitted on tho charge of manslaughter preferred against him in consequence of the death of Mr Cr-x in the Hotel Arcadia on September 3. Henry Kobert Cox, aged of independent means, arrived with Ins wife on September 2 from Woy Woy, whore they rP.iid.id. At the inquest Constable Ivellv produced a <iii< lenient made by Stanislas 'Dyktor, an oculist, in which he said lie had stayed tor live weelu in tho Arcadia. During that nine he was experimenting with a liquid for sylvor-plalmg metals. lie kept the liquid in. the smaller bet tie, which ho had obtained from a housemaid. When he left the hotel, ho left, behind a quantity of ixipei's, cigarette boxes, and the bottle contaming tho liquid. The bottle had puncr round it, and tho paper could not come off by 'i-sc-lf- He thought tho housemaid would dear up the things be left. The -Coroner found that deceased lwd died from the elfecU of poison, negligently and carelesdy left by Dyktor in a bottfo resembling the water bottle. Dyktor wits flteii committed for trial ou a charge of manslaughter.
