PORTOBELLO ROAD BOARD
Tho monthly meeting of (ho Portohollo Road Board was hold on November 25, and was adjourned till December 2, being then attended by Messrs J. Dickson (chairman), Fulton, Raynbird, Millar, Bacon, Wright, and M'G'artney. Mr M'Crcay wrote asking leave to cut down (wo trees adjoining his property in Macamhvw Township, the trees being tho property of the board.—Request granted, subject to the approval of the members for the subdivision.
Mr Shano asked permission to lengthen the _ entrance to his property.—Granted, subject to the same conditions as in the previous case. Permission A'ae alio granted to erect a swing gate on the road.
Mr R. Mitchell applied for the construction of a drain.—To In informed that the board will put in the pipes if Mr Mitchell supplies
Ihe Broad Bay Cemetery Committee wrote asking that the newly-formed road leading fo the cemetery bo widened. -To be informed that the matter is being attended to.
A committee was appointed to draft a letter to the Minister of Justice a c l;in',' i-hat. a police constable bo appainted to the district.
The dog tax was fixed at 2s tid: Mr Porturfield to be collector.
