Mr Robert Sempk (president oi the New Zealand Miners' Federation) left bv the steamer Mapourika last night en route to Wellington, whore a general meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Miners' Federation will bo held on Wednesday. It is understood that the federation will interview tho Government and endeavour to come lo a satisfactory settlement of the dispute. Pending this conference the miners' manifesto is withheld.
