WELLINGTON. December 3. Whilst ilie motion in regard to to-tuar* mow mornings silling of the House was under discussion this afternoon Mr Wiltoi'd suggested that they should continue to-night's sitting until, say hal i-past 7 to-morrow morning, liion nrljourn for an hour for break last, ami continue the silling during the forenoon.
This at once drew Mr Massev to his feet- with a vigorous protest, against- legislation by exhaustion :n such an extremo form. "If any attempt, is made." he sawl, "to go in for all-im.ht sittings I will do my duty by stopping the business of the House beiny c;tnic<ron in such a manner."
Sir Joseph Ward ;aid that lie objected to being told by the Leader of the Opposition that he would not allow certain things to be done when he (the Prime Minister) had never attempted or thought of attempting to do such things. Thc'e threatening observations from tiie Opposition Leader were, he said, quite uncalled for.
