The 42nd installation of Lodge Celtic, No. 477 S.C.. look place, in tho Masonic Hall, Moray plac,, on Thursday nftornoon, at 4.30, when Bio. A. T. F. Dempster was installed for the ensuing 12 months in the chair of King Solomon The ccromouy of installing tho \V. Bro. was carried out in a most impressive manner by tho 11. \V. Bro. n a n C3 T G ? ro ' aa - Jl -> N.Z., South, and tho D.G. Lodge officers. After tho ceremony ll'.o lodge was called off till 7.15 p.m.', when the investuro of the officers took place undar the direction of W. Bro. D. Macandrow: Chaplain, Bro. W. Ovons; S.U., j> 0 . W i Th " m f"'> J - D -. «ro. P. Robb; 1.G., Bro. n. H. Mackenzie; Organist, Bro. R. R. Benndl; Tyler, Bro. F. Thomas. During tho proceedings Bro. J. Ja"o rendered the solo, "The beautiful player," and Bro. W. 11. Mackenzie " A dream of paradise," both of which were enjoyed by tho brethren present. After tho installation ceremony was finished the brethren adjourned to the upper hall for the banquet tho catering being in the capable hands of Bro. J. Kroou, which was satisfactory to all present. The Right Worshipful Master, Bro. It. R, Bayley, was presented with a jewel by Past Master S. G. Smith, in token of his many services to tho Ledge Celtic or the past 12 monlhs. The following brethren contributed musical items ;-Bros. Jago, Harrison, Mackenzie, Church, Gawthorpe, Layburn, Douglas, Gillies, and Bros. fc>. O. Smith, P.M., and C. Jenkins rocounted humorous stories, the accompanists being R R. J, Bonne!! (ivlw acted as musical director) and Bro. D. Cooper.
