(Per Ukitkd Press Association.) HASTINGS, February 24. In the euphonium solo «>niputition this morning Mr Wolf awarded points in the following order:—Hickman (Wanganui), 90; Williams (Wanganui), 86; Harris (Gis- ■ borne), 84; M'Plicrson (Newton), 79; Holmes (Petone), 69. Quickstep Competition:—Wanganui Garrison 274 points, 1; Newton (Auckland), 2641 points, 2; .Stratford, 259J points, 3. Six other bands competed. Trombono Trio:—Wanganui Garrison, 87 points, 1; Hastings Town, 76 points, 2. Tlieso wore the only competitors. A protest has been lodged. Flugel Horn Solo:-E. Gould (Wanganui Garrison), 76 points, 1; R. H. Williams (Gisborue City), 63 points, 2. These were the only competitors.
