NEW YORK, November 20. . , The stockyards at East Buffalo have been closed pending an investigation of supposed foot-and-mouth ' disease of the cattle from the States of Pennsylvania and New York. 'The animals'meantime, are quarantined. LONDON, November 21. (Received Nov. 22, at 4.25 p.m.) Messrs Armour and Company's, London agents state that the quarantine regulations mil probably mean a decrease in the United States shipments of meat to the extent of 25 per cent. An immediate rise in price is unlikely, as the market is now very well supplied. NEW YORK, November 21. (Received Nov.-22, at- 4.25 p.m.) Exporters agree that the exports to. Britain must undergo a serious.-., curtailment, but the quarantine will not affect Boston, Baltimore, or Portland.
