This meeting desires to express its indignation at the unwarrantable usa of General Booth's name in an advertisement inserted by the Liquor party calling upon the people to vote continuance. . . . Such a use of his name is in direct antagonism to the General's whole life's work, and 1 we arc of opinion that a trade that \vould defend itself by such methods is a blot upon our civilisation, and its existence should be ended.
