Only ' a few months ago the same car collided with a horse, killing the animal and injur- 1 ing several occupants of the car. The inquest was opened before the district coroner to-day. After evidence regarding the post mortem examination, showing that deceased's neck was broken, had been taken, Sergeant Bowden applied •for an adjournment till next Monday, which was granted.
