At a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Hookey Association to-night a letter was rearl from the secretary of the Dewsley and Savill Hockey Club, England, suggesting that an English amateur team should tour New Zealand: next - season and play 35, matches, including three tests The cost would be from £3250 to £3500. The matter waa referred to a working committee to report HARRIERS. The St, Andrew Harriers held 1 their weekly run on Wednesday from St Kilda as the guests of Mr W. Wilkinson. There were 2? membera present, and a visitor from one o{ the Saturday clubs. The hares (Meredith and M'Kechnie) laid a good trail covering the most suitable harrier country about Anderson's Bay, the run finishing along the beach. The club was afterwards entertained by the host. A Christcharcli message states that Truca was scratched, at 12.30 yesterday for all engagements at the Grand National meeting and also for the New Zealand Cup.
