BOWLING CLUB SOCIALS.
<o- • l P.OSLYN CLUB. The above olub held a very successful social gathering, on 'Wednesday evening in the Roslyu Presbyterian School Hall, when the prizes won during the past season were presented to the fortunate ones. There was a fair turn-out of members and their lady friends. Mr J. Garratt (president of tho club) occupied the chair, being supported by Mows It. Crawford and 11. H. Scott (vice-president's). Thero were also present somo visitors from sister clubs. A good programme had lieen prepared by Mr J. Timson, who also acted as accompanist during the evening. A quartet party (Messrs J. Armstrong, Hale, A. C. Al'George, and G. Searlo)' gave several part songs, which were much appreciated. Sengs v.cro ale. given by Mrs G. F. Ootids, .Mr 11. Matthews, Miss L' M'Farlane, Messrs E. M'Kerrow ; Easter Doubles, J. n aterson and Sulciiffe Is). ' CAVERSILUf CLUB. A very pleasant social gathering was held by" the members of the Caversham Bowling Club in the Oddfellows' New Hall. David street, last oveniiig. The particular object, for which the sceial was held was to make some return to the ladies who had very kindly provided afternoon tea on Hie greon during the past bowling scaso>i. Mr T. K. Sidoy, M.P. (the president, of the dub), occupied the chair in the earlier part of the evening, which wae principally devoted to a progressive euchre tournament, and presented Hie club prizes won during the season. Tlio winners wove as follow:—Rinks—o. Fogarty, D. ■ Robertson, and A- M'Gregor (s)—tJioro was no permanent lead in the_ rink. Doubles, j D. Robertson and T. K. Sidey; Singles. D. Murchison 1. D. At Iho close of the euchre tournament dancing was engaged in with great spirit, and ,-s i there was close on a hundred present the floor was fully occupied by the dancers.
