PORT CHALMERS LICENSING COMMITTEE.

The quarterly meeting of the Port Chalmers Licensing Committee was held yesterday.—On the' Bench were Messrs H. Y. Widdowson, (3.M. (chairman),' 0. Hodge, J. Mill, and C. Duke.

The transfer of the Marino Hotel from 1 Donald Harrison to William Barr Allen (Mr Burmird) was granted. An application by Mr Lang to have tho probate of the wilt of tho lata. John Cusack, licensee of the Provincial Hotel, noted on his license was granted, the widow, Margaret Cusack, having carried on the business since the. testator's death,,as sole executrix. Two months' leave of absence was grantedto W. P. Bastings, licensee of the Port Chalmers Hotel, his brother, F. Bastings, to take charge -meanwhile. Tho police roport on tho cpnduot of. the houses was generally satisfactory.
