(Put United Pniss Association.) CHIUSTCHURGI, December 15. Mr L. 11. G. Greenwood, M.A, (son of Mr G. L. Greenwood, official assignee) lias been appointed Classical Lcoturcr at Canterbury College us locum ienona to Profeasor Ilaslaui, who, on account of ill hoalth, has boon ffrauted 12 months' leave of Mr Greenwood, who is a Fellow of King's College, Cambridge, and Assistant Lecturer in Classics at the University of Leeds, was educated at Christ's Collego Grammar School, and at Cantorbnry College. In 1893 lio was cleof-ctl to aji cntmnce scholarship at King's College, Cambridgo, and in 1901 wan elected (o an undergraduate scholarship. He tool; his M.A. degree in 1906, being appointed (in 1903) LectUTOr in Greek at the" Yorkshire College, Leeds. In 1805 Mr Greenwood was appointed Assistant Lcoturcr in Glassies to tho University of Leeds. Ho is of miusually high scholarship attainments, and his treaties on Aristotle lias been published under the auspices ot tho Leods University Board. Mr Greenwood has cabled accepting the temporary appointment, and take.-; up his duties at Canterbury Collotrc at the commencement. of the first term of 1903.
