A Press Association messago'from Wanganui says that Mr Alfred Bayly, tho wellknown footballer, died yesterday; aged 41 years.

Mr Dorrington replied in terms befitting the occasion, and heartily thanked the donors for theirgifls and kindly sentiments.

Mr S. E. M'Carthy. stipendiary magistrate at Invercargi.il, who is to be transferred to Aapier to succeed Mr H. W. Brabant, will }? I, ' rn . lje succeeded at Invercargill by Mr Gr. Cruickshank, S.M., who been for some years in charge of the Miltoniiawrenee district.
