PRINCESS THEATRE.

Fullers' talented vaudeville company presented a most entertaining programme to a large and appreciative audience at the Princess Theatro 011 Saturday night. Among thoso appearing for the first time were- Miss Lavinia Tyson, who established herself in a lofty niche of public appreciation by ber rendering of " Good-night, beloved." Ida Ingersolc, soubrette, al«> made a decided hit; and Delavalc and Christie, James Opie, Watte and Lucas, Rupert Christie, A'iotor the Great, Bert Sharp, K. H. Collins, and tlio Luoaa Sisters duly distinguished themselves. Tho feature of the biogr&ph series *vas the amusing adventures of two men in a balloon, or, rather, tho adventures that betel those who were not ill the balloon. "A MOORISH MAID." The season of Mr Hill's brilliant comic opera, "A Moorish Maid," at His Majesty's Theatre, came to a close on Saturday evening. Mr Hill's work, we arc glad to observe, has obtained wider recognition than that which is merely local, and it would not be surprising to see it produced in a community where it will lie in a position to challenge comparison with recognised successes. In that event Dunediu playgoers mil ha-ve reason to congratulate themselves upon being honoured with the privilege of witnessing its production. It is the intention of tho company to tender a complimentary performance to Mr Hill next Thursday evening in recognition of the great success achieved by him.

DUNEDIN BURNS CLUB. ■ The monthly meeting of the Burns Club Committee was held 011 Friday evening, Dr St-cnhousc (president) occupying the chair. The Musical Committee submitted an excellent musical programme for Thursday's concert. The club has completed arrangements for holding all monthly concerts in future in the new Art Caller}- Hall. Owing to unavoidable circumstances, this month's concert will be held on Thursday instead of Wednesday, as usual. Airangements ate 011 hand Jor celebrating the anniversary festival. Dr Nisbet will driver a Scottish lecture. The' Weekly Scotsman's donation of a box of heather has arrived, and will be distributed at next conceit.

CONCERT AND DANCE AT LETCH VALLEY. .

A concert was hcEL and also a dance, at Lcitli Valley on Friday evening in aid of the prize fund of the Leith Vailey School. It was exceedingly well patronised by visitors and residents, and the prize fund benefited to the extent o! some £10 or £20. The programme was -given entirely by amateur?, amongst whom were the following:—Mrs and Miss Dryden. Messrs R. M'Kenzie, Do Latour, Mills, Telfer, and Marr. The accompaniments were played very acceDtablv by Miss Fieldwick. A dance which followed the concert was uutch enjoyed, and was kept up till an early hour on Saturday morning. Himuiel's Band supplied the music.
