ALLEGED FALSE DECLARATION

(Pes Uniizd Pkkbs Absocutioh.) NAPIER, July 17. Arthur Graham Owen was committed for trial on a charge of making a false deolaralion to the registrar of marriages in Christchurch. The prosecuting officer stated that accused had declared 'himself a. bachelor and went through the ceremony of marriage with Ruth Muter, he having previously gone through the same ceremony with Minnio Schmitt ut Adelaide.

According to a statement made by the accused, the Adelaide marriage was not legal, because ho had a wife living in England then. ,
