Hallett wroto thanking tho sock'tv, 011 behalf of tho Wailioiuiti school children, ior having admitted them to the show 011 tho last day freo of okcige, and Mr G. C. Baker (secretary of tho Maeondrev.' Kocd School Committee) also wioto iii a similar strain, and stated that the invitation to visit the show was much appreciated and taken tlw fullest udvanUigo oi by the scholars attending his school. Mr David Koss wrote suggesting that a farmers' class, in addition to tho open class, bo added for grain exhibits at the winter show. Wales wrote asking fo: the assistwico of this society in obtaining the services of competition judge-3 for cattle, horses, and sheep, and, after consideration, tlio letter m< referred to tho Horse, Shoop, and Catllo Sub-coinmitteos to report. Tlie Treasurer submitted the statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the winter show just closwl, which was ca-Te-fully gono into and considered most satisfactory. Accounts amounting to £454 83 3d were passed for payment. The Secretary reported that ho had recently visited tho Maaawatu and West Coast A. and P. Society's show n.t Polmerston Xorlh, and had gone very carefully into all tho working and arrangements in connection with its winter show, and stated that information Ruined daring his visit would, ho thought, bo of Eervico to tho executive.—lt was resolved to adopt tho suggestions offered by tho fecrctary as to rearrangement of subcommittees, etc. Mir E. F. Duthie stated that ho had gone carefully inio the question of distribution and representation of members of committee, and recommended in this direction that a suboommitlee bo appointed to reviso the rules and to ronort at next meeting of the committee. The following sub-committee was set. up to go into tlio matter and report • — M<wrs E. F. Duthie. H. Buskland, ,T. Angus P. Paiftillrf. Jome? Gow, and W. Sonter. ' Tho following sub-committees for the rear wero thereafter set lip:-Finance. Buildings and Grounds, Luncheon and Refreshment, Sheep, Cattle. Horses, Amusements, Summer Show Schedule Revision, and Winter Show Sehedulo Revision. Tho President congratulated tlio members of the committee for attending in Eueii numbers, and exposed the hop® that much enthusiasm would he thrown into the work of tho committeo during tho year of the society just commenced.
