Tho notes in circulation total £29,166,000; public deposits, £9,328,000; other deposits, £46,004,000; securities, £15.321,000; a-nd other securities, jM,844,000.
Three months' bills are discounted at 3 3-16 per cent.
Cousols are quoted at £85.
Tho following are the quotations for colonial Government stocks, compared with those ruling^a week previous:—

The firmness of the wheat markets i 3 due' chiefly to the small reservo stocks in HriUiin and most of the European importing countries. There has been a slight relapse in cargoes, aiid during tho last few days cargoes have been sold at from 31s Isd to 31s 9d. The (lour market has hardened from M to 6d. The butter market is unchanged. There is a slightly better demand for choicest colonial, but secondaries are neglected. Tha chcese market is easier. New Zealand, 61s to 62d. Copper: .Spot, £105 15s; three months, £104. Tin: Spot, 15s. Lead, £20. Pig iron, 59s 7(1. The sugar market is steady. German, 9s Gd; first marks, lis Id. The Bradford wool market is quiet. .Merinos are firm. Common sixties, 26dj super., 27d.
