GKEYMOUTII, April 30. On Friday (he Hon. A. R. Guinness cabled to Sir J. (1. Ward stilting that Jho people o.\]'ceied him to advocate at the conference that tho Admiralty should make flic harbour at Point E'izaboth, an.l urging that an engineer should lie sent out lo report on tho proposal. This afternoon the following lclr was received from Sir J. Ward:—"J havo dealt with defence matters generally at the conferenoe, and will bring the Point Jiiizabeth matter under the special notice of Iho Admiralty."
