LONDON, April 25. In tho House of Commons, during the Budget debate, Mr Asqnith said that, while the entire proeecds of direct taxation went into the Exchequer under a system of tariffs, touch of the benefit went into tho pockets of favoured interests. It was impossible to do justice between the various parts of the Empire - unless they.supplemented preference on food with preference on raw material.
