THE CHARGE AGAINST O.E. HAMILTON.

■ ASIIBURTON, April 24. At. tho Magistrate's Court this afternoon an application was made on behalf of 0. J5. Hamilton (of the Hainilton-Garmong Mission), who was, fined £5 and costs last Friday for assault on a married woman, for a rehearing of tho ciuse. Tho application was refused on the grounds that tho fresh evidence proposed to be tendered would not'alter tho decision.
