FEIIiDING, April 24. At the Magistrate's Court to-day a phinaman was fined £1 and costs for keeping his shop open after liours. To evade the act ho opened a. shop adjoining his grocery and fruit 6toro at 9 o'clock on Saturday night, and sold .frnit only. The magistrate felt it was a deliberate attempt to evade tho act, and imposed a fine.
