Mr Justice Cooper sentenced ritotnai Morgan to tno years' imprisonment foi horse stealing, and James Kelly to two ycaTs for breaking and cntoring and tliofl. Probation was granted to John Stctuit feavago, who pleaded "Guilty" to obtaining goods by fah>o pretences, the judge stating the Teal charge was disposing of proporty for which ho had given security. A youth, Alfred Attltur Norman, admitted having broken tho terms of his rrobalion, and tiio order was extended for 12 months. PALMEESTON N„ March 26. The Supremo Cotur opened on Monday before Mr Jnstica Button. A lengthy ease, Milverton v. tho Kairanga Countr Council, a claim for £570 and damages (£323) m a metalling contract, was concluded to-day. Tho parties had been in litigation for two yeais pa6t o\er the contract, and at tho Appeal Court tho Chief Justico ordered a fiesh trial. The plaintiff was nonsuited, with costs as por scale.
WELLINGTON, Maich 26. At tho Supremo Court today William Jleiny Gloter was sentenced to six months' imprisonment on a chaigo of forgety.
