Iho annual report 6tato6: — In submitting the sixteenth annual report and balance sheet of the Burns Club for tho year 180(1-7, jour committee reports that the club haa ably carried out its objects, though the vear has not been financially so successful as its piedocossor The meinbeiship now stands at 338 (242 double and 9G single), representing it membership subscription of £87, a decrease of £25 10s as compared with last jear. This decrease m the membership is greatly to be regretted, but your conmnitee is confident that with tho support of members tho 101 l will be gieatly added to during the coming year. The active assistance of all members is *arnostl> requested in adding now members to our roll. Tho year commenced wit i a credit balance of £17 Is 5d m tho clubs cnrient account, which now stands at £1 10? lid. As there is a, sum of £15 3s ict credit of scholarship account, the worklll" account of the club is actually overdrawn. ° In moving iho adoption of tho report and balance sheet, tho Chairman explained that the small at tendance at the mcetin" piobably arose fhtough a punter's mistake notifying the _ meeting to tho Eaily Settlors' Association gathoung, and to several other rowdies' meeting the same oveninjj.
