" : "A middle-aged man, Henry Stunell,attempted to commit suicido by taking , chlorodyno on Sunday. Accused admitted tho offenco at tho Polioo Court to-day,, and was remanded till next week. At a meeting of billiard room proprie-: tors to-day it- was decided to form an association for controlling the management, of billiard rooms and apply for an extended license to 11 o'clock. It was stated thata scheme is afoot for forming a billiard association for Now Zealand.
