(Per Unitkd Pbess Association.) NAPIER. February 25. Iho match M.C.C. v. Hawko's Hay was resumed this morning anil was soon concluded, the Hawko's Bay team being disposed of for 160, leaving tho viators winners by an innings and 80 runs. ■ Lusk made 65 rune not out, and showed capital form. Harrison look four wickets for 61 rims. Curwen three for 47, Torrcns two for 28, aud Fox one for 17.

CHRISTCIIURCH. February 25 Tho hon. seorotary of the Now Zealand Cricket Council has received advico that the English team for tho fivst test match will bo:—Do Trafford, Johnson Harrison, Burns, Douglas, Pago, Branston, SimpronHayward, Tonens, Fox, and May. The match commences here on Thursday.
