Bidding was fairly good, but not reaching tho owner's refcrve\ tho property was withdrawn after a bid of 25s per acre,, and is now open for privato sale. The same comptny, also report having ottered for salo by auction on Saturday, at their auction rooms, Crawford street, oil account of Mr John 11'Lecd, his farm of 180 acres splendid wheat-growing land, and which was keenly competed for up io £-2 per aero, but not to tho extent of the vendor's idea 01 value; consequently it was will]drawn, and can now fco dealt with privately. IMPORTANT LAND SALE. The National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited), Onmnru report having sold, on Account of Mr Joseph Irvine, his freehold property situated at Vaiflnakarua, and known as " Tho Rookery,' to gcther with the sheep thereon, at a, very satisfactory prico to Mr F. Kelcher, o'f Makikihi. Tho farm contains 1324 acres of agricultural and pastoral land, and is conveniently situated to rail and road. The buyer must be congratulated 011 his acquisition.
