(Fnou Our Own Correspondent.) OAMARU, September 9. The wheal market is practically dead for (he present, and 110 revival is cxpected till the Reciprocity Treaty has been dealt with by Parliament. Tliero is an impression here that in any tho market is pretty well done for tho season. Ono salo only is reported— that of <100 sacks of velvet at Us 5Jd at a siding, less commission, but the highest otter now obtainable is lis 2d. Holders are not disposed to sell, believing that the treaty will not bo ratified. Tho oat market is weaker, sales of Garions having been made at from Os lid to 2a 3Jd (f.0.b., sacks in), according to quality. All the Bales reported are for shipment to the North' Island. Danish oats have been sold 111 small quantities at up to 2s 3d (f.0.b.). Potatoes aro steady, sale;) having been made at £9 10s to £10 (at country sidings, liei), and for shipment north at from £11 to £11 )0s (f.0.b.) for good Derwents. Seed lots of Up-to-dates and British Queens havo been sold at up to £16 (ex store).
