(Received August 16, at 8.30 a.m.) The police of this city are investigating the case of Mrs Lena Verault, alias Hamilton, who obtained large loans from middleaged and elderly gentlemen whom she professed she was willing to marry. She is the central figure in a syndicate of love, whicli represented her as a rich widow, One victim advanced £50,000.
