Daily Times Office, Thursday evening. Tho amount o[ revenue collected at the Dunedin Ciui un House to-day on goods BREADSTUFFS. At their meeting in Cbrislchurch to-day the directors of the FlourmilWs' Association advanced Ihc price of bran 10s per lon. The tariff now .stands £3 15s for local orders and £3 10s i.o.b. for shipment. Owing to the recent advance m wheat there was some expectation of a rise,ill the price of flour, hut no advice having been received to that effect It is surmised that the flour tariff remains unaltered.

Pr'res generally are unchanged, with an occasional advance of 3d. Stocks and shares: Bunks—New South Wales, £U to £15; all others unchanged.

MELBOURNE, April 00. At the hide sales the market for good hides was unchanged, but sloppy were inclined to be easier.

THE MEAT MARKET.

The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company (Napier) have received n cable stating that the values of Ito7.cn meat continue to decline. North Island million, first and second quality, and lamb have fallen Jd. To-day's quotations: Canterbury mutton, 43d; Napier, Wellington, and North Island, iljd. Lamb— First quality. 4jd; second, I'd. Beef—-Hinds, 3*d; fores 2Jd.

SALE OF FARM AT MILLER'S FLAT.

Messrs Todd Bros, and Co. report having sold, on account of Mr Thomas Forbes, of Miller's Flat,'his freehold farm of 114 acres, being section 22, block X, Benger Survey District, together with the working plant of horses, implements, crop, etc., nt a very satisfactory price to Mr David Walker, of Miller's Flat.

CORE HORSE SAW:

The National Mortgage and Agency Company report having held their monthly horse sale" in Ward's Bazaar, Gore, on Wednesday, when they offered 20 horses. The attendance was not large, no doubt the line day keeping farmers at home harvesting. The same reason can be ascribed for the small enlry, as a large, number of horses that were entered did not come forward. The sale for young draughts was very good, and there was no difficulty in placing all the farmers' lols at very satisfactory prices. Hacks were nol in demand, and only two were sold. Sales were as follows:--One four-year-old mare. £45; one three-year-old colt. £!8: one dc. £36 10s; one seven-year-old mare, £'M; one four-year-old gelding, I'M; one aged gelding, £9 IDs; one do, Xili; one do, 115 tils: one ased mare, harness and gig. .£24 Ms; hacks, at i' 7 and » 10s. A lot of implements, harness, and sundries, on account of Mr 1). O'Brien, were also sold at saiisiadory prices. The auctioneers will have a first-class lot of horses in for their next sale, when they expect to find a very keen demand. They also report having sold durii:;: last week 12 young draughts from three to seven-year-old on account ot various clients, some oi which were purchased from the Timaru district.

SPECIAL SALE OF CROSSBRED EWES

AND LAMBS. Messrs Wright. Stephenson, and Co. (Ltd.) report having held a special sale uf crossbred owes a lid lambs at their l'almr.rsloii Yards on Tuesday, the 21lh inst., on account ot Messrs V. F. Neill (Tumai), David Muir (Green Yallev), and other*. There was a, large entry, over 'SflOO sheep being offered. The attendance was all that could be desired, buyers being present from lwtli north and south or the look-out tor good ewe* nml lambs, consequently the major portion of the entry changed hands at lull values. Ewes (six and eight-tooth) made up to 18s Kkl, and wether lambs to 9s 5(1.

CLEARING SALE,

Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. (Ltd.) report having held a clearing sale on Thursday, the 2f)th inst.. on account of Mr T. H. Lewis, Corner Bush (ov.ing to the expiry of his lease), wlisn tlicy offered for unreserved sale the whole of his dairy cows and heifers. For the convenience of (he public the stock wc-J removed to and sold at Bcthune's Gully, North-East Valley. The weather being fine, there was a large gathering of neighbours find buyers from a distance present, most of whom came to do business, and the result was a good sale. The dairy cows were a well-bred lot, and known as first-class milkers, and. under spirited competition, they were all sold at very satisfactory prices. Cows realised up to IB 17s Gd, and heifers to £G 7s Gd.
