BRIQUETTE-MAKING PLANT. (FnOH Our Own Correspondent.) GREYMOTJTH, March 18. As soon as a site is decided on the work of erecting the briquetting plant at Westport will be energetically pushed on, and it is hoped to have the article on the market in about two to throe months' time. Of this article, so an official of the State Mine Department told a Star reporter, it is hoped to have a largo export, as it lias been found exceptionally useful in tho Old Country and the' United States. Briquettes will be made up of soft coal obtainable from the Scddonvillc State mine, and once operations are commenced it is hoped to keep the mine going fairly well. The Wostport Times passes some caustic remarks on the management for the delay that is taking place in choosing a sito for the briquette plant.
