MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.

The v.-eokiy meeting of , the Rescue Lodge o! Templars.was held in tho Presbyterian Session House on Wday evening. Titero was ft good attendance of members, t-lio .Chief Templar (Bro. Hilton) presiding. Two candidates were initiated, bringing tho lodge's . inmiorical strength up to soiiie 70 members. .Very favourable reports were made regarding the Sunday evening service in tho Town Hall, the concerts given at the Benevolent- Institution. and the arrangements made re comity anniversary concert. It was unanimously resolved to send a letter of condolence to MisS Vi'arringtou on a bereaveiiierit hi her family, also to continue tho scries of Sunday evening Gospel temperanco. meetings. Tito pastime of tho evening was tho opening of a " question box," every member drawing a question, to answer same. A very interesting timo was the result. At the weekly meeting of Hopo of Caversham Lodge, 1.0. G.T. (C.T. Ri-o. R. Xl'Conncl!) presiding), the District Lotlgo delegates presented * their report. Bro. Hunt (Alliance) responded ior the visitors. At the fortnightly meeting of tho Linden Lodge, No. 19/L0.0.F., M. Bro. A. Williamson .presided; At the conclusion .of tho ordiiiary business the . sisters of tho Linda Hebekah Lodge 'accompanied by Sister Randlo, assembled in ix-s'ponSo to. an invjtation from the members of Linda Lcdgb to spend a social evening with music and daiicing.
