OTAGO DOCK TRUST.
Tho ordinary meeting df thci Ofngo Dock 1 rust was held yesterday afternoon, thero being present-Messrs E. G. Allen, M.H.R. (chairman), ,1. Thomson, A. Cables D. A.Do Jlaus, N. Dodds, and Captain C. Hodgo. Apologies wore offered for tho absence of the Hon. 11. Gourley and Mr Clark.
Messrs Kiicwshibb Bros, wroto applying foi 150 ft of tlio foreshore extending from Boiler Point towards tho dock. They enclosed a sketoh of what was required.— Deferred to tho Works Committee to report. Tho Harbour Beard wroto tlmt it. had resolved to grant tho trust the use of clredgo 222 at the rate of £600 per calendar month, working two shifts. Tho dredge to lie supplied when convenient to tho lioaj-d, and tho hoard to lie aolo judge as to whem all suitable dredgablc material had been removed.—Received. The Harbour Board also wrote asking to l)e supplied with a few conies of tho trust's annual report and statement of accounts.— Received.
Mr R. Hay, engineer (o tho trust, forwarded for the inspection of tho trust drawin;;* and specifications of tho proposed new dock at Tort Chalmers.—Received. The Finance Committee recommended tho payment of accounts amounting to £131 2s 6d, and reported that thero was a credit balaueo of £114 17s Id. Tho committee reported further tlmt £1000 on fixed deposit was duo for collection, and recommended that of this £500 bo deposited for six months and £500 bo placed to current account.—Adopted. The Dock Engineer reported that during the past month tho pumping machinery had been engaged pumping for six vessels. The machinery was working very satisfae torily.—Received. The trust then went into committee-.
