TRINITY METHODIST CHURCH.
The quwlcrly-meeting of tho Trinity Methodint Church Circuit was hold last evening. Tho chairman of tho circuit (the Rev. GV H. Laws, 13.A.) presided, and there was present a lingo representation of members. The membership returns were reported as being tho same as the previous quarter's. Tho Sunday school returns for Trinity and Woodhaugh wero satisfactory. Tha statement of receipts and expenditure, as presented by the circuit- stewards, showed an income of £ 14C 83 4d. A small credit balance was carried forward. Church anniversary collections at Trinity and Woodhaugh wero granted, as also foreign mission collections, ou tho 9th inst. Harvest festival thanksgiving services were authorised to bo conducted on tho 10th inst. Messrs S. C-. Phillips, E.N. Gordon, and \V. H. Ferens were electcd representatives to the Temperance Reform Council. The report submitted ill connection with the opening services of the branch church in North-East Valley was deemed' higlvly satisfactory. The chairman stated that the missionary appointed by the lccent conference (Ml - F. Hands) would arrive in Dunedin next week, and commencc his duties on Sunday, IGUi inst. It was decidcd to hold: a. servicc-on tho evening of Good Friday.
