On Thursday a number journey to Rox- . burgh to join with tho Railway League there in .the reception of the Hon. the Minister, of Publio Works and the members of Parliament who accompany him. A banquni iB to bo held in tho evening, and on Friday morning tins whole party will drive over the proposed extension from Lawrence to Roxburgh. Soon after arrival at Lawrence deputations will wait' on .tho Minister,of Public AVorks on .various local and country matters, including, of course, • immediato railway extension,. regarding which tho residents of Roxburgh, Lawrence, and ihiermediato places are now ~ ill deadly earnest. In the evening the guests ' will be entertained at a smoke concert, to which a number of residents of Roxburgh will accompany our delegates, so, on tho. whole, wo have a somewhat exciting week. A further excitement is i visit of "Wirth's Circus.
