BIBLE-READING IN STATE SCHOOLS. FOR BOYS AND GIRLS.
.TO THE EDITOR. '. SiK,—Through you, plcaso allow me to' claim for a ininute or two tho atteiition of all my young friends, but specially the boys and girls of the following schools:—Union Street, High Street, Albany Street, George Street, and Arthur Street. Toil all know, boys and girls, I hope, that tho classes for I3ible-readiug last year were the best wo ever.had during tho niho years wo have been at work. If thero be ■ t'his year "a long piill, a. strong pull; and a pull all together," lyo may expect bigger crowds than ever. With that expectation I have "had printed 1800 attendance cards, and fe.ol .certain that they will* all bo needed. ' Next week our classes, will be resumed in tho following ordor:—Monday, 20tli, Union Street; Tuesday, 21st, High Street; Wednos'.' (lay, 22nd, Albany Street; Thursday, 23rd, George Street; Friday,. 24th, Arthur Street.' I hopo every boy'and girl will have a - new attendance card on tho opening day. Some- of our best'-helpers have loft tho ,• school.and cannot longer be with us; but new scholars have- come, and we expect that many of them will join our classes this year. Not fewer than 12 monitors from tho higher standards will bo.heeded in each school. Of course, tho fathers arid mothers will assist as usual, but we rely chiefly upon the scholars themselves. . Our Own Magazine wiil be circulated free, the-eame as last year. In every school and from every pupil we . will look for at least threo thiols— Reverence, Regularity, and Punctuality.— I am,, etc., February 13, 1905. D. Wright.
