JUVENILE FORESTRY.
Court Pride of the Port (Port Chalmers) was opened last u-cck, when Pres. Bro. Love occupied the chair, and was supported by D.C.R. Bro. J. Clark and J. Dist. Pres. Bro. Morgan. Vicepresident Bro. Solomon acted as S.C.Ii. There was n «ood representation of the D.E. and J.D.E. and of Court Robin Hood. Bro. Love assisted by D.C.R. Bro. Clark, initiated *3 members into the order. The election of' officers resulted as follows :-C.R., Bro. R Love; S.C.R.. Bro. He skins; S.W., Ero. A. Sykcs; J.W., Bro. J. Young; 5.8., Bro. if. V! Collelt; J. 8., Bro. Farquharson; A.S., Bro] J. Love. The officers were installed by D.C.R. Bro. C.ark, P.D.C.R. Bro. Youngnian, D.T. Bio. Hope, D.S. Bro. ilncfie, and P.C.R.'s Bros. AValson and Palmer. Prizes wore offered for competition by Bros. Solomon and An»us mid the Juvenile District. Bro. J. D. Clark, Juvenile District Secretary, lent valuable assistance in preparing pence cards: and otherwise helping the secretary. This court is the only one for boys in Port Chalmers, and Till meet monthly. Court Pride of the Forest celebrated) its eleventh anniversary on Wednesday. A largo number of monitors attended, C.R. Bro. H. .Thomas in the chair. A competition at ninepins between the juveaife and adult courts was won by tho former by 100 to 94, the prizes for piigliGsl scores boing scoured by Bros. Burns and IV. Hinnnel, Tho ladies' contest was iron by Mrs Knewstubb. Bros, Morgan 11 (president) and Clark (D.C.R.) made the presentation of prizes. Highest* aggregate in two scries of competitions, comprising ninepins, quoits on sheet, and quoitsVon peg—Bra A. Burns 1. Bro. James WiljSl 2. Highest in competition between aduW'and juvenilesAdults, Bro. Himmel 1 and fecial; juveniles, Bro. A. 18. Bums 1 and special; ladies, Mrs Knewstubb. Several members entertained with harmony, Mr Flynn'a humorou-s songs being particularly acceptable. Court Pride of Duncdin paid an official Tisit, and several ladies were also present. Bros. Watson and Ycmngma'n each presented a prize for tho member scoring the possible, and the meeting olosed at 10 p.m.
