Thousands of people went to the various harbour resorls in the ferry staimers, and football and hockey matches were well patronised, j At the City Council Mt evening there ■ was some discussion regarding the baptism ■ by the "I)ipn?f" scot in the Corporation ' Baths. Writing to a Wellington friend from Smyrna, Mr Arthur H. Adams states that he is returning to England greatly improved in health. He intimates that if his health does not eontinuo good in London ho will probably return to New Zealand next year.
