Messrs Wright, Slephenson, and Co. report as follows:— Out thirteenth annual"horse fair was continued or. Friday, when SO horses not offered on Thursday were put up, together with 80 saddle and harness horse*. The attendance of the public and of buyers was quite as great as on the previoue day, and, whilst it cannot be sitid that prices were any' better, vendors hid realised that in order to effect sales they would have to meet the market, and, most of them being willing to do so, a larger percentage of the stock ottered was sold, the majority of the draught horses.finding new owners. A considerable proportion of the light harness •horses forward also changed bunds. The best prices realised yesterday were £00 for a splendid five-year-old drought gelding, and JKO for another of the same age. (Limited) repoTt having offered several pens of show sheep at the sale of prize stock held in the .Agricultural Hall on Friday. There was a very largo attendance of those interested, but nearly the whole of the entries were purchased by butchers,'who competed with' great spirit for'every pen, and the prices realised were highly satisfactory: 'Che highest price realised at auction was obtained for a pen of magnificent wethers shown by Mr M Fer°iison (of Heriot), -which were purchase'! by Messrs T. Smith and Co. at £2 per head. For the second prize pen of hoggets entered by Mr W. S. Fleming (of Rakahauka) Oos Gd was obtained, Mr John Tough (of Milton) being tho purchaser. KobertEOii, ot Pott -Chalmers), 5 heavyweight two-tooth Down cross wethers, at 27s Gd (to same buyer), the second prizo pen of 5 lambs (Down cross) at 25s Od (to Mv Joba Tough, or Milton), the third prizo pen of 5 lauiL. (English Leicester cross) at 2-ls (to Mr J. E. Robertson, of Port Chalmers); liessrs Ross aiid Glendining (Blackstone Hill Station), 5 .splendidlyfinished two-tooth hallbred wethers (tho first prizo pen of longwool or halfbted wethers not exceeding 22 months) at 30s (to Mr E. F. Lawrence, of George street), 5 two-tooth Imlfbted wethers (third prize pen of sheep most suitable for frozen meat trade) at 2Cs (to Mr E. F. Law--ronce, of George- street). They also report having Eo!d privately, on account of iiessrs Ross and Gleiidining (Bla'ckstono Hill Station), to Mr E. F. Lawrence'(of Georgo street), a line of 1700 very prime two-tooth to eight-tootli halfbred wothors, bred and fattened on the station, at the very satisfactory prico of 23s per head on the ground. Tho Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand (Limited) report:—We held our annual 3iv!e of winter show stock at the Agricultural Hall yesterday, when wo offered EO'.'era! pens of sheep and cattle. ■ We sold for Messrs John Tough (Milton),• 1 ,, . J. Wright (Wyllio's Crossing), and Win. Kuklaml (Poplar Grove), hoggets from 2Ss to 30s. We also sold two pens ot prime bullocks (fattcnod.by Mcssra Webster and Calender,. of Allanton), Vrfiich wore purenased by Ifessrs IV. Grindlcy and 11, ' Parsons.
