THE WINTER SHOW. TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, —Being a regular visitor to the show, I could , not help beiiig impressed by the bareness of the butter and 0hee.3,0 exhibits, also the Victoria Hall, and all for the waiit of a lew flowering plants and cut flowers to liven the place up and take-away that awful fameiicss that the country visitors ego show after show. I am sure' it must hr.yo been an oversight cm.thc'part of tho management, which should know that wo country people look on this as our flower show as well; but ,1 suppose we will have to do without this year, as the. season is now far on, and I supno-o the flowers are all over. I had always told my wife and daughters- about the fine flower?, and you can judge of their disappointment oncoming up to town for this show anul feeing none. Afl my better half remarked to me, "We can always £ee butter and' cheese, but flowers only jn season."—l am, etc., CODN'TRT GIiOWLEIt.
