THE ANTHRAX OUTBREAK.

(Pun United Press Association - .) INVERCARUILL, January 7. Two more cows have died at Woodlands from anthrax. The outbreak Ims been traced to bones brought to the Bluff by tho Aparima, from Xndiaj and the cause and effect have -been more clearly demonstrated than in any previous outbreak in the colony. Dags containing the bones were placed in a lino in a paddock where cattle were, grazing, and some spilt on the grass. The bones may have been licked up or taken direct from the bag;._ A ample of the Iwnss ban been forwarded to Mr GilruUi to determino tho presence of anthrax bacillus. A portion of the consignment was steamed in India, and the balance here, but not in a thoroughly sterilising plant ou modern principles.
