NAPIER, January 2. A peculiar incident occurred at tho port this afternoon. Cargo wa3 being discharged from the steamer, Tangaroa, arid Eome of it had boon placed on. tho railway line which 1 run 3 along the breastwork, with the result that a locomotive, running on the line ploughed into cases of fruit, furniture, etc., piling up the debris for several yards.
