LONDON, August 5. (Received August 6, at 9.1S a.m.) ,In the House, of Commons, during tho army vote debate, Mr Brodrick said that the normal demand for horses for the army was 2500 yearly, but that tile Boer war had brought a sudden demand for 150,0 U. Reviewing "the contract scandals and the sub-letting.of contracts, lie added the liorse, though not himself immoral, was the cause of immorality in others.
