(Received July 25, at 9.5 a.m.) The president f.nd secretary of tho G'olloonc-y branch of the United Irish League have each been sentenced to two months' imprisonment oil charges of intimidation. Tho combination of Irish landlords is to be known as the Irish Land Trust. The central idea is to resist tho efforts of tenants to compel landlords to sell their properties, also to muko arrangements for the cultivation of evicted farms, and generally to fight the Irish League in connection, with boycotting and intimidation.

ANTI-HOME RULE MOTION. SYDNEY, July 25. (Received July 25, at 11.21 a.m.) The annual meeting of the Protestant Defence Association adopted a resolution against any scheme of Homo Rule for Ireland,, believing that such a measure would be dangerous to the unity and sta'bility of the Empire.
