The origin of tho fife is unknown. InsurBuilding .and plant, £800. in tho Imperial (£3OO being reinsured in tho Commercial Union); stock, £500 .in tho Manchester office. ■ - HAWERA, July 1. About 1.30 this morning Jury's Commercial Hotel at Manaia.was set fire to. Tho ctnblos wore first alight, qud tho hotel was then found on fire in three different rooms, Tho stables were destroyed. A young man named Leydon wan found in one'of the rooms set fire to, a'nd was arrested on suspicion. He alleged that lie wnkc his brother boarder in the house .before the alarm was given. ;
