(Received March 15, at 10.55 a.m.) A collision occurred off the heads late last night between the steamer Dovedale and the barqnentine Silver Cloud, from Hokiungii, with a' cargo of timber. IJot-h the port and «tarboard bowß of the Silver Cloud were holed above the waterline, and a quantity of gear was carried away. Sho is making .a little water. The pilot boat towed her into the harbour. WELCOME RAIN. (Received JJlarch 16, at 1.6 a.m.) Good rains are general throughout the colony. There is a south-west gale blowing on tlie coast.
