The officers of the Phcenix Encampment, 1.0.0. F., were installed on Thursday evening last, at the Rattray streot Hall, by Bro. H, J. Williams, Past Grand Sire of Australasia, Acting Grand Chief Patriarch, assisted by Past Chief Patriarchs "William Reid and D. M. Miller, Acting Grand High Priest and Grand Warden respectively. Tho lodge being opened in tho Royal Purple degree, tho installing oflicors were received, after which tho officerselect were presented, obligated, and duly installed in their respective positions in the following order:—Chief Patriarch, Bro. G. Crichton; Junior Warden, Bro. M. B. Feil; Treasurer, Bro. D. Miller; Scribe, Bro. J. A. Walker; Senio; Warden, Bro. A. W. Oxley; High Priest, Bro. J. H. Hinton; 0.5., Bro. H. Howrth; J.S., Bro. T. Shepherd; Guide, Bro, J. Pattison; Ist, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Watches, Bros. J. Miobie, C. M'Peak, G. Springer, and J. Ellis; Guards, Bros. L. Kemnitz and F. Adams. On the conclusion of tho ceremony Bro. Williams delivered a brief address, congratulating tho lodge on the apparent interest displayed by all their officers, and expressing his pleasure at again being able to preside at tho function. A vote of thanks to the installing officei'3 was carried-with acclamation. Bro, Crichtou, in convoying to the lodge his tliankß for the high honour conferred upon him by his election to the chair of Chief Patriarch, intimated his desire to perfect the performance of the ritual work of tho "encampment," and asked for the cordial support of his officers in that direction. He stated that

a series of rehearsals would shortly be arranged. Under the "good and welfare" of the order, the lodge, respectfully standing, passed a resolution 'expressing tho grief of their members at the death of her. late Majesty the Queen. The scribe was directed to convey tho tcrm3 of the resolution to the proper quarter.
