CHRISTCHURCH, January 23. The entries at Addington to-day comprised 2523 fat sheep, 3000 fat lambs, 1412 store sheep, 219 cattle, and 361 pigs.. Fat Cattle.—The 133 head fat cattle yarded were mostly poor sorts, but they met with a better market at from 22a to 25s per 1001b for good to prime beef, and 18s to 2la -bthcr sort 3. Best steers brought £8 to .£lO 10s; others, £G 17s Gd to £7 10s; best heifers, £7 to £8; others, £5 17b 6d to £0 10s; best cows, £7 to £8 10s; others, £5 to £G 10s. Fat Sheep.—There wna a mixed yarding, which included Eome good lines of wethers and many others not finished,' and a good supplv of ewes. Freezers were not anxious to secure slicop. Freezing wethers' realised from 18s to 20s; lighter, 16s 9d to 17s Gd; best ewes, IGs to 17s 9d; others, 14s to 15s 6d. Fat Lambs.—The quality was not quite fo good all round, but late rates were maintained. About 2500 were taken for freezing at from 18s 3d to IBs lOd for best, 14s to 15s for lighter, and 13s 2d for unfinished. Store Sheep.—These were mostly composed of largo lines of wethers or lambs. The demand was scarcely so good, and several lines- of both were passed, not reaching .the reserves. Forward wethers brought from 17s 8d tos"18s 2d; fair, 16s lid to 17s 6d; small, 14s 6d to' 15s fid; forward lambs, 133 9d to 14s Id; secondary, 12s 9d to 13s 7d; small, 9s lid to lis 3d; gwd, young ewes, 16s lOd to 17s-4d; aged, 14s 8d to 15s 3d; ewes and lambs (all counted). 10s £d. Pigs.—The quality was good, but the supply short, and a much better market resulted. 'Baconers realised 35s to 56s 6d; porkers, 23s to 33s—both equal to 4d per lb; stores, 13s to 22s Gd; suckers and weancrs, 7s to 10s 6d.
