' TO TllE EDITOR, Sin,—A .short time ago, through the medium of your paper,-1 drew the Oily Council's attention to the dangerous state of the footpaths at the corner of Melville and Walker streets and Manor place. Owing to the steep grade, pedestrians were continually slipping. The two corners at Melvilln ptrcet and Manor placo havo been attended to, but. the worst one—viz., corner of Walker and Melville streets—remains.
